Starting Early on Brighter Futures
The Early Childhood Education program of Northwestern Settlement is the first point of contact for many of our youngest neighbors. It’s never too early to Nurture, Educate and Inspire the American dream.

Early Childhood Education
Our Early Childhood Education program is funded by the Federal Government through the Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) and Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). We provide families with a full day and full year of programing for children age 2-5. Income eligible families may apply for subsidized tuition.
Our classrooms are staffed by teachers who hold an Illinois State Board of Education, Professional Educator License.
We welcome children with disabilities and support families who suspect that their child may have a disability or developmental delay.
Our program is NAEYC accredited, and we have an ExceleRate Gold Circle of quality rating for the 2nd year in a row and were recently awarded the Award of Excellence for Family and Community Engagement.
